If you are a carer, or are interested in becoming one, chances are you will already consider it to be a rewarding profession. Cavendish Care goes above and beyond to ensure that its employees reach their true potential.
You do not necessarily need to have experience in caring to begin a career at Cavendish Care. Full training is provided by our Training Manager at Head Office on an ongoing basis. Training sessions not only equip you with the neccessary skills needed to care for our clients and tenants, they also give you a chance to get to know colleagues from other houses and to swap advice.
All members of staff are equally valued and people who go beyond the call of duty are recognised. Recently, five nominations were put forward by managers for the Surrey Care Awards for those who had made a significant contribution. Of these, two were short listed by Surrey Care Association and Briar House won an award for their work on nutrition.
Cavendish Care will always support you to further your career. All Support Workers are encouraged to work towards their NVQ in Care and many members of staff have been funded to attend specialist courses and to complete university degrees relevant to the care sector. Furthermore, if you have worked full-time for the company for over two years, you will be rewarded with a free health cash plan. All employees who have worked for over five years are awarded a bonus.
There are regular social events for all employees such as the annual Christmas party which give members of staff the chance to get to know each other in a more informal environment.
In an industry known for its high staff turnover, Cavendish Care is proud to employ many members of staff who have been with the company for several years.
